Was he right to end it now? He might have been better off letting her end it and her be the bad guy or it might have saved him some future nominations.

I think it was a good decision. The relationship is doing his head in, and men who have relationships never last long with girlfriends to defend and stick up for. Look at Maxwell and Sezer.
