Joel is a good communicator, that doesn't make him intelligent. I've not seen any evidence of an outstanding intellect, he is just a bit quicker off the blocks than the rest of them.

Its one of the reasons I think this BB has been the worst. The intelligence level of them is so low that they are completely one dimensional characters. When discussions revolve around does he/she fancy me etc, you know its not going to be a vintage year, and that has proven to be correct as this series has progressed. It was a terrible choice of cast by the producers.
