But the 23k had been earned by the house under the impression that it would going towards the prize fund, whereas the 5k was offered under the (/Chloe's) impression that everyone would take it, since it was never earned as part of the prize fund. At the end of the day it was all Monopoly money and the total amount given would have equalled £150k anyway.
