I'm a massive lesbian. (duh) I have to sit and listen to people (and sometimes my own family) talk about how disgusting/gross/unnatural it is to be gay. Please don't tell me I don't understand 'oppression' and don't even think acting like I'm privileged because of my skin colour. Racism happens everywhere. Do you live in America? Have you been to America? In some places, black people are even worse than white people. When I was at school, this girl told me not to sit next to her because I was white. I told the teacher and she did nothing. If it had been the other way around, I would have been expelled. To think that racism exists towards people of ANY colour makes me feel sick.

I understand why you're upset. Seriously, I do. But Nicki is fighting a silly battle here. It's nothing to do with skin colour. It's to do with talent. If this had been a few years ago, I'd totally agree with you. But Nicki has been so **** recently.

Sorry if this seems harsh, but I don't like people judging me when they don't know me at all. I love and hate everyone equally. My first ever kiss was a black girl. I look at and judge people for how they act and what they say, not how they look.

I understand that. But when same sex marriage was legalized in America, everyone celebrated "Love wins". Organizations changed their colours, countless tweeted their support and we didn't stop hearing about it. When we talk about black lives matter the response is either silence or "ALL LIVES MATTER" (which is true that all loves matter but that is not the point). We're not allowed to voice our opinions that make the other race uncomfortable but that could help things progress.

"Racism happens everywhere. Do you live in America? Have you been to America?" Cousins and nieces in South Carolina. I hear enough of it.
