Idk, they've done some pretty decent eyes imo, not as good as the ones on this page obviously, but apart from the original C5 eyes, they haven't been
that bad.
I think they like over complicating things tbh, that's why the eyes never really hit home, because C4's eyes were incredibly simple yet effective.
