As someone who has spent decades patronising 'Gay' nightclubs, I am totally used to both sexes being in the same toilets and it is no big deal to me personally, but people using toilets in nightclubs are usually pissed or stoned or both, and thus their inhibitions and sensitivities are chemically removed, girls in college though are a whole different case, and there may be females around who are embarrassed to use a WC - especially for a 'no. 2' - in front of someone they know is a 'male' -- wig and dress or otherwise.

I know more than one female who 'cough', 'crinkle' toilet paper or use other methods to 'muffle' breaking-wind noises and other embarrassing noises associated with defecating - and that is when they are in a toilet on their own.
