I'm glad you had a good time Andy.

We loved our time there although we felt it overpriced because we booked a weekend there a couple of days before we went. It was an extra add on to a holiday we were having in Derbyshire and hadn't planned to stay there at all. I thought we had paid for two nights in the hotel and three days of passes to the parks (water park at Splash Landings Hotel) and Alton Towers but when we got there we found out all we had was the passes to the water park and the hotel. In the end we compromised and got the first day free into the park and if you book on your way out for the next day you get a reduced rate anyway so it worked out cheaper.
It was August 2006 and very hot. Happy days. Big queues
