Princess, I've suffered from panic attacks since the end of the 80's. I've had lots of advice over the years about them. The 'paper bag' breathing is really good but can be a bit embarrassing if you have to do it in public! Of late, I've found Bach's Rescue Remedy a good herbal remedy - its available at all chemists - and helps me to keep 'calm'.

The Internet has loads of advice and there are always self-help books.
