It is a mystery to me and will remain so long after this series as to where James suddenly cared about Chloe or Janice to be honest.
He just cowardly, in my view, wanted to get out of saving Jenna or Farrah so used both Chloe and Janice to justify his actions as to that in the saving decisions they had to make.
James for me ,I sadly say now, is not someone I would trust after that at all.
