My son has not been Christened, we do not attend Church and he has no siblings. He still got a place at our local C of E school which happens to have the best ofsted report of all the local schools. It's not as hard to get them in as it used to be.

I went to an all girls school and I disagree a little. I had an older brother and went to a mixed primary so did always have male friends but some girls at school had no contact with boys and didn't know how to interact with them.. When they left school those girls went one of two ways in the main....they either turned very promiscuous at Uni or continued being very introverted. I would never send my child to a single sex school after my experience (even though I had no problems).
