Week 3 was the most interesting week so far, and who would've thought that it would've been on a Billy Joel night.
Anyway my rankings of the week 3 performances.
1. Elise Testone - I felt that she finally clicked with this performance, and her and Joshua was the only ones to not lose control at all with their vocals on the night either.
2. Colton Dixon - He still has some pitching problems, but this is the closest attempt to this even more fossilized show to actually giving him Indie Rock so far in the arrangement.
3. Philip Philips - I really liked the intense bits at the beginning, I thought that he was gonna be interesting and not performing it MOR, but in the second half of the performance he turned it into a MOR Rock song to please the audience, despite that it was his best vocal so far.
4. Joshua Ledet - It suffered on being a bit dull, but he never lost control in his vocal, and he does seem to give it his all unlike some who I feel aren't even trying properly.
5. Skylar Laine - Her best performance at the lives, it's just not my style of Music at all so don't ever expect her to be too high on my rankings Skylar fans.
6. DeAndre Brackensick - He just failed to standout at all, he was lucky to have not come dead last with that kind of performance.
7. Erika Van Pelt - Tbf she did look more comfortable with this song choice, it's just that there really is something missing with her, I can't quite put my finger on it.
8. Heejun Han - He did still sing the song okay despite the awkward arrangement given to him.
9. Hollie Cavanagh - She just is so offensive and bland it's unreal with her performances.
10. Jessica Sanchez - Does she know what build up to the big moment means? It was just constant shouting throughout, no wonder the save had to be used on her later on in the series as the public probably wanted to teach her a lesson to be more exciting to watch and less loud for when the judges brought her back.
