The Crazies

I enjoyed this more than I expected, I don't think I'll remember much of it in a few weeks time but I found the film quite entertaining. Going into it I was expecting a zombie film so I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. I liked the idea of a virus that turns people into killers but still allows them to retain some inteligence, it made for a more threatening enemy than just another mindless zombie. One of the main things I disliked about the film was that it's ending was quite weak and a bit stereotypical of the genre.

Overall though I enjoyed the film, it's not a classic by any means but it kept me entertained and it didn't outstay it's welcome.

7/10

The Amityville Horror

I found this film to be quite boring, other films at the time did what this film did better and there's very little that's memorable about it. I did like 'Jody' and I thought that the plotline had potential but it remained unexplored. There's not much I can really say about this one other than I just found it dull.

2/10
