Takes 2 (AA )Alkaline batterys under it {had Duracells in it}
No Mains at all (no need for mains)
It can be switched to Sensor operation
or you click a cord
or you turn off.
Very Simple and clever
Alex its not for me
I am to busy for that.
I bought one for a family member
made sure it was fully tested and safe
