I ave just had more good news; the hospital staff have take her off the ventilator because she is breathing by herself so normally - again they said this has astounded them that she should do this so early in this degree of premature birth, so I thank God for it.

My daughter is being discharged this morning (great news) but she is coming home to stay with us for at least a few months and her husband will flit between 2 homes. It's a bit sad that the baby will be kept in for, I believe 2 months, unless she continues to make her exceptional progress, which I am praying she does, but I would rather have her in the right place where expert help will benefit her the most.

I am still too young, dashingly handsome, and fit to be a grand dad but I cannot wait to really fill the role.

I don't mind changing nappies and pushing a pram and being up in the middle of the night during teething.
They're lucky to have you as their dad/grandad.

Or pa? My dad prefers pa as it doesn't make him feel as old as "grandad".
