Luckily, child 2 is not in my daughters class, or even anywhere near her.
Skye still ended up ill a few days later, most likely after little brother caught the cold. But thats different...you cannot keep one off on the basis they MIGHT be contagious or might catch a bug. But if they are already ill then they should be off...
So yeah, it may be hearsay but she has previous for it so I am obviously going to assume the teacher is right again
Rather wish I was fit enough right now to take Skye back to school myself once she is better, could be useful speaking to neglectful mum.

Okay well fair enough but that is why teachers don't normally discuss other students as it could lead to rows on the playground

It is annoying But as they go up through school sometimes you have to send them in a bit snotty if they are off for a few days and in an exam year, also some parents feel it's good good for the immune system to be exposed to colds you meet all sorts Vicky, you will have no hair left by the time they get to sixth form
