..the knife really doesn't matter because even without a most basic of police training, there's the knowledge that a knife is only a threat when it's within arms reach and his was not at all..there was only 30 seconds between Jason Van Dyke arriving on the scene and his last shot being fired..the first shot was not even necessary as Laquan's body was at an angle, walking away from the officers and if he had turned, ran toward and lunged at any point, then a 'death shot' still wouldn't have been necessary...

...but 16 shots...there was a vid posted recently of IS firing endless shots into Syrian soldiers who were laying face down..and also obviously the Bataclan and how the victims were laid down there and shots fired relentlessly into their bodies...and they were called evil ...

..he may never rest in peace, his family may never have peace in their lives again but let their be full justice for Laquan...
You are right Ammi - This is so much MORE than just an headline. It is a needless tragedy.
