We had an inkling, but Adele's 25 now officially has the UK's highest opening-week sales for an album... ever.
The singer's first album in nearly five years has shifted a massive 800,307 copies this week alone to claim the top spot in tremendous style.
Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' is No.1 for another week as he matches Madonna's chart record
In fact, 25's sold more than the last 19 No.1 albums put together, and more than the rest of this week's Top 75 combined.

On top of that, the album's already gone 2x Platinum and managed the most downloads in a week of all time.
Adele's also seemingly given the rest of the music market a generous boost, with sales across the remainder of the Top 40 climbing 21% compared to last week, and 145% compared to average sales across the last ten weeks.
