I wouldn't worry too much, other than the initial vision I think Star Wars outgrew Lucas and that it isn't exactly what he would want - but might be more what fans want - isn't necessaily a bad thing at all. Some of his tinkering with the early films is awful, and there are more than a couple of questionable elements...
Doesn't really matter for me, so long as the Lightsaber battles are well choreographed I'll leave the cinema happy
. The Phantom Menace is both my favourite and least favourite of the Star Wars films. Because;
- It isn't really a very good film, and that little Anakin arsehole...
BUT
+ Darth Maul lightsaber fights are, in my humble opinion, the best in the entire live action series.
So yup. I'm there for the glowing swords and not a whole lot else TBQFH.
