Thank you, I really enjoyed your opening post

Its odd, but only yesterday I was thinking the exact same thing. I'd momentarily heard someone singing on the tv and was captivated by her voice (no idea who she was) and that got me thinking about singers of our past like Whitney Houseton. I was brought up in a household where music was loud and constant and as a child I knew every word to most of Billy Holiday, Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald's songs. What happened to these amazing voices and fantastic lyrics?

Don't get me wrong, I love a whole genre of music from electro to drum and base but only certain artists can emotionally elevate me with their lyrics and outstanding voices and not one of those voices come from the here and now.
