I think it's also pretty clear that the next guy they appoint will only be there on a temporary basis until the end of the season, when they'll go for who they really want (whether that is Pep or not who knows), so Rodgers wouldn't really be that surprising. He is familiar with the club having worked there before, has experience working with one of the top sides in the league, and would definitely improve on the results they've had so far this season. It would make sense for Rodgers too, a good job until the summer when he can go for the one he really wants (England). It'll probably be Hiddink though.
