I think people thought we might get a more fun relic quest like 2.0's rather than a mix of Atma's and such.
I haven't minded the Crystal stage so far, just got three more to go and the Dungeons won't take long at all. I think the third part is a bit excessive from what I've read but I imagine that they'll nerf it once 3.2 is out.
