[A 22-year-old man has died after being attacked
by his own dog in Preston.
The victim was treated at the scene by
paramedics but he subsequently died of his injuries.
The dog, which belonged to the man,
was taken from the property in Dundonald Street,
and was put down by vets.
Police were called to the address by the ambulance
service at around 3.45pm on New Year's Day,
following reports a man had been bitten by a dog.]
