Winston's views have nothing to do with religion and everything to do with him being a small minded bigot. He should be expected to take responsibility for his views, instead of hiding behind a religion. He's a grown man, he can think for himself.

Maybe you won't change your views, that's a shame considering the society you live in, but they are still going to be challenged and rightly so. You seem to want the shows to 'move into the future' and yet you yourself are unable to move into the present
