It makes me think of Chantelle and Preston. Pretty much exactly the same situation on the face of it from what I recall but with the genders switched. (Especially the 'non-celebrity' aspect
) And Preston was really popular, I'm sure he didn't receive even a fraction of the criticism Steph is getting. And Chantelle of course ended up winning. So it is a bit odd. But maybe the reason Steph is getting as much criticism as she is, isn't just because of what she's doing and the fact she has a boyfriend, but because of her general behaviour and attitude regarding it. For example, the fact that she keeps blaming other people and Big Brother. And also that their relationship doesn't look genuine, whereas the Chantelle/Preston relationship did. So there are probably other factors other than just gender imo.
