"Gemma wants to speak to me!" in that pathetic little boy lost panicky voice. This was just after telling Gemma firmly "Yes, when I make the tea" - and NOT being afraid to call her shallow in the task in the first place!
Then in the toilet she is talking to him perfectly reasonably and Danniella his mammy is hovering around outside picking the gunge from her ears ready to rescue the pathetic wimp - from what? Deary me, what an ordeal for the poor laddie. When his Mammy rescues him by throwing open the door and butting her nose in, Gemma sails out and says 'sorted', and Chris skulks out with a hang dog look on his gormless face to show all his other Mammy's out there how awful it was to be in the clutches of big bad Gemma.
He clearly isn't really afraid of Gemma, it's all a pathetic act for the sympathy vote. As was the retch retch retch during nominations. Give me a break - if he suffered that much from anxiety he wouldn't be in the house in the first place.

..yes because you're a little bit silly.....hmmmm, I didn't quite see that the same way as you did, jet..yes, he can say stuff, he can say stuff behind her back, type thing and even to her face sometimes, so long as other people are there..?..what I found really telling with Gemma was when she said that people were either jealous of her, intimidated by her or (whatever the other thing was..)...so she has very high opinions of herself and up with those very high opinions is that she's aware that she intimidates people, she's ok with it, she does it on purpose, it's one of the things that she uses both to control and to 'bully'...so because of that and because of Chris' anxieties, behind her back, in front of people etc is the only way he can release...when she took him to the bathroom (I think) it was because she knew on a one to one thing, she could intimidate and bully and that she wanted to do that to someone, wanted to 'see them squirm'..pretty darn grim, eh...?...to isolate him from the group so that he would feel full impact of what she had to say and I think, taking pleasure from it, from 'getting him back'...really horrid, really spiteful, really 'bullying'...she uses her 'intimidation', a bully always senses their target and she's fully aware what Chris' weaknesses and anxieties are...I don't think that he uses those anxieties, I think that they're very telling of how much he's struggling and with Gemma in particular....he's having a little bit of courage now and again but only at times when he feels supported by the group because then he feels safe....I mean Gemma has no issues at all with just coming right out with it when she has something to say but very telling this time, that she isolated him to say what she wanted to and then when Daniella came in, just said 'sorted' because her spiteful mission to scare someone was accomplished...yeah Daniella did irritate me a little in snooping about, it was almost comical but I think that she only irritated me because I don't like her in general very much, so (I'm a bit biased and predisposed to be irritated by her..)...but I think with this, it's because she's aware of how scared Chris would be, being pulled away from the group and how bullying and intimidating Gemma's behaviour is...Steph is obviously struggling with it as well, as is John but everyone's different in how they deal with this type of thing, depending on individual personalities etc....Chris' way I think is occasionally to feel safe enough to 'release' because he knows that many of the group feel the same impact she's having but on the whole I think he's terrified and I also think she's taking pleasure in him being terrified, purposefully trying to make him so because she knows that it's not working with the others, so it helps her to think that she still has a sense of control...to me she's the 'stereotypical' Nelson Muntz from The Simpsons, bully character who uses her height, her weight etc to intimidate and Chris atm is the little Millhouse....

...anyways, I can't imagine how awful it must be to have anxieties to the extent Chris has them....

...and yeah, I know we could say/think that if he suffered that much from anxiety, he wouldn't go in the house in the first place but neither would David or Angie if sleep deprivation was going to be an issue and things like that..we often think things like that don't we....well they knew what it would be like so shy go in there.....or if they weren't going to be able to do all tasks etc..but they do go in though, don't they because money obviously and also for future work etc ..he probably would have given consideration to his anxieties and whether he could cope, but well, also balanced up what the positives could be for him as well....
