If their genuine personality is that dull and uninteresting for the purposes of an entertainment programme so much so that they feel by exaggerating themselves, putting on a persona and portraying a character will make better television and will mean they've rightfully earned their fee as they should all have to...then, um...yes?
I would definitely prefer that than someone like Darren, who while is a nice guy, contributes nothing to the series
Don't get me wrong I'd prefer somebody to be naturally entertaining, but if they feel like they can't be I actually respect them a whole lot more for realising they're on a TV show and providing both the viewers and producers material which makes their place on the show (and in the case or celebrities, their fees) warranted. There is nothing worse than someone who sails through a series, contributes **** all to the show and in some cases wastes the budget
