Perhaps you missed the hairdresser smiling to himself and trying not to laugh. Gemma was hamming it up for our entertainment - he knew it and almost certainly a lot of the viewing public knew it. She tries to make certain scenes amusing - but unfortunately not everyone realizes this as we all don't have the same sense of humour. I would say 100% she wanted that segment to be shown, and warned him she was going to act up the diva role. She IS a reality show veteran after all.
You are taking it far too seriously - and I can't believe you think that it was worse than Winston being a bigoted homophobe.[/QUOTE
2 threads ? Please ignore the first thread...I made an error with the title....it is my lowest point of the show not necessarily others peoples..
This thread is about the incident and not where it fits in the pecking order of bad taste....that was my mistake with the first thread and I apologise for that ....but this observation about Gemmas appalling behaviour towards that guy remains exactly the same.....and her reasons and motives also remain unanswered.... I would imagine there are no or very few viewers who are NOT Gemma fans that will agree with your explanation above....sorry, just don't think it works
What took place with Winston and what took place with Tiffany and Angie I understood...not understood their principles but understood what I was watching on my screen....I was able to be objective even though I despised the guy, I understood that he believed what he was saying, even though he was totally wrong....but I don't understand what I was watching with Gemma if it wasn't what it appeared to be and that was just the vindictive, spiteful, selfish treatment of a non house guest who was just doing his job.
At what point does being a Diva not excuse her behaviour ? Surely that point is when she is being served by someone from outside of the house and being treated with respect by them.

They probably wouldn't agree if they aren't fans.

That's par for the course. But for those that get her, it is plausible, because she's been acting up the diva role throughout the whole show. I'm not saying she is never being herself, but I think with veteran reality stars the lines get blurred between who they really are and the hugely exaggerated version they have to portray continually to keep viewers riveted and tuning in to their show - and I think Gemma is an ideal example of this. Her main focus on CBB has been to entertain us with the diva role. I think this is quite obvious so the incident with the hairdresser wasn't a biggie. To say she was being vindictive and spiteful is way over the top tbh. If you had said RUDE, then fair enough, but VINDICTIVE and SPITEFUL - that's just pure hyperbole.
Imo you need some of that objectivity you were willing to give to the awful Winston.
