I don't think age or marital status has anything to do with it tbh. If anything, younger people are likely to feel more hurt in situations like that because they have less life experience. I got cheated on when I was 21 and it was the worst feeling I've ever had, I think I'd cope a lot better if it happened now because I have more perspective.
Noone really knows the ins and outs of Steph/Sam's relationship, except that they are in one. If things between them weren't good then they could have broken up but they decided to stay together. Same goes for if she wants to enjoy her youth and flit about. But they've decided to be in a committed relationship and she's cheating on him on national television so I think she deserves blame for the situation. What Jeremy's doing isn't 'right', but he doesn't have any responsibility towards Sam, whereas Steph does. Which is why he deserves less blame. And if she's old enough to commit herself to someone (she was even talking about how she wanted to marry him), then she's old enough to accept responsibility for cheating on that person. The whole "I'm only 22, I'm just a child" rubbish doesn't wash.
