As a teenager, I loved Squall (FF8). However, I think ONLY a teenager could identify with Squall. When I hit 20 he suddenly morphed into an irritating emo kid. Oh well!
If I had to absolutely choose one - Commander Shepard (Renegade, not Paragon).
Honouranble mention for Michael De Santa (GTA5) and, more specifically, any scene he has with Jimmy or Tracey.
