Stumbled on this thread a bit late in the day, but just wanted to thank everyone for the nice and supportive comments here.
x Been a hectic couple of years with marriage, transition, etc. I can't see myself auditioning again - the hubby would be less than thrilled - though no regrets.
I still love steampunk, though the ideal Victorian clothes are mostly out of my price range.
The flute is still with us, albeit gathering dust. The walls are thin and the neighbours not overly pleasant...
