All of which makes it far worse, of course, for one because it would be a slow and horrible way to go and also because, while fish are pretty much instinct-driven and unintelligent, not really able to comprehend life and death, Dolphins are not... They are clever, sentient beings and so this one was probably terrified, and likely knew that it was going to die 
Also, it will have a family that will miss it and will have no idea what happened to it after it was snatched from the sea, though they will likely know that it was snatched. Quite horrific when you think about it. |
