..it's hard to comment on these stories individually because there are things that we may not know but comparing it to the 10yr old who was questioned because he wrote 'terrorist' instead of 'terraced', there was a thought of better to be safe than sorry, so in that vein, it would be the same here.../that's not something that I personally believe in though/the better to be safe than sorry thing and I know many school staff who feel the same...I'm going to guess that they mean PREVENT as the 'specialist team' this was referred to, the same as the 10yr old boy...I think that this whole thing is in danger of breaching human rights and is getting that attention atm of doing so...these are children and in the care of their school and in that duty of care, anything that 'alarmed' would automatically be registered and reported no matter what it was and that's something that has always happened, I really don't see the specific need for 'PREVENT'...
...Dezzy said it takes days for responses to other things, we've had that as well over the years...things like burglaries etc/actual crimes that have taken place...but it's not just crimes, it's families in crisis and real need/families screaming out/children screaming out and actually hurting themselves or hurting others and sadly their voices are mute, the school voices screaming for them are mute..so many really are becoming totally abandoned and helpless...and yet, the speed of if it's a Muslim child/family or a child on a possible 'hate' website during the process of research....hmmmmm, it seems that the listening ears are very much attentive....
...it's probably easy to see that I'm not a big fan of 'PREVENT' and the focus of it atm...we would all be extremely vigilant of anything anyway with our children in school of anything that was disturbing in their behaviour or actions...
