Fascism, while invariably being far-right and authoritarian in practice, is just as opposed to traditional liberal capitalism as it is to the revolutionary left, and isn't particularly fond of conservatism. It's radical in that it aims to abolish existing hierarchies, but at the same time wants to institute new ones based on merit within rigid ethnic and ideological parameters. It's extremist nationalism where working class struggle and bourgeois sociopolitical prerogatives are pushed to the side so that everyone of the right racial and cultural background can come together behind a romanticized notion of "the people" as manifested in the national leader.
A short history of fascism
Like I said, Trump isn’t a conservative and he’s certainly not left thinking. He’s against liberal capitalism and wants to ditch free market economy for nationalism and this is what makes him close to the above quote.
When I said in my other post that Trump appears to be comfortable with violence at his rallies and he puts huge emphasis on the ‘other’ as a threat to the nation, Hitler did this too. There are similarities.
