Day 54
12.50
Charley and Tracey are chatting. Charley says they are outsiders from the group and will "targets" in the next round of nominations. "I've been the bitch and I've been in a lot of trouble for it." She is sure she'll be nominated tomorrow and evicted next Friday, but has "had enough listening to the crap". Charley adds, "The only reason that's keeping me here is all these cameras what I adore. I come here for that and that's what I like." She ends by saying, "Well, there's no point sh*tting on my own bonfire - my time's up. I feel like I can't take no more anyway."
Ziggy and Chanelle are in bed. The twins are massaging Ziggy's back. Liam is watching and laughs, "It's the best fun you can have without a stiffy."
Brian is in the Diary Room. "My life is in complete disarray," he tells Big Brother, explaining that he is having a very bad hair day. He says there is no getting away from such problems with cameras everywhere in "a Baywatch house". He is annoyed that he looks "crap" in the mornings. Big Brother reminds him, "Looks aren't everything, Brian."
3.15
Ziggy, Charley and Gerry are talking in the bedroom. Ziggy asks them what the worst thing is that someone could do to annoy them. Gerry says that very little can annoy him as he has become very "thick-skinned" in the house. "I've discovered new levels of patience…I don't think anything p*sses me off anymore, except Charley very occasionally." He adds, "That's why we came here, to be stronger."
They hear Brian and the twins playing their shouting game outside. "I feel really old, know what I mean?" Ziggy says. The others agree, and Gerry reminds them that most of the older housemates have now left with the exception of Carole. "Carole will survive anywhere…if there is an atomic bomb, only cockroaches will survive. Carole will be there, cooking for the cockroaches."
5.05
Big Brother unveils the latest task - BBTV - a homage to retro television shows. In a game show spoof, the housemates are split into two teams, Team Well Ard and The Pretty Divas, to answer questions based on a survey of the eviction-going public.
Liam answers correctly that Chanelle is the housemate most likely to release a Number One single. Gerry incorrectly answers that Liam would be the housemate least likely to be recognised, when the correct answer was himself.
Brian is asked which of the housemates viewers consider the most stylish. He says Charley but the correct answer is Chanelle. Chanelle laughs and Charley reasons that she seldom dresses up and has spent much of her time in the house in pyjamas.
Carole is asked who the audience think would be make one million pound. She says Liam but the correct answer is Charley, who is surprised.. "Oh my God, they hate me and then they said that I'll make a million? I'm in shock, wow."
5.36
Charley is asked who the audience think she fancies most in the house. She says Ziggy but the audience answer was Liam. Sam answers correctly that Tracey is the least stylist housemate, before being asked who she thought the audience felt would still be in the public eye in five years' time. She correctly answers Charley, who is again very pleased.
6.19
Ziggy and Chanelle are in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother about the quiz task.
Liam and Brian are with Charley at the smoking area talking about the quiz task. Charley says that the boys are all attractive in various ways and were chosen for their attributes. She goes on about Chanelle being named most stylish housemate and the boys joke about how well Charley is taking it. She laughs.
7.34
Gerry is in the bedroom, analysing how he might be portrayed and perceived by others on the outside. He fears he will be considered "dull" and doesn't want to be remembered for that. Chanelle tells him that he does make a point of going on about having three degrees, more for the sense of "prestige" than snobbery. Gerry insists he doesn't mean to brag about his education, as he thinks university degrees are a waste of time.
9.37
Big Brother plays theme tune music into the house, calling two people to the Diary Room. Carole and Charley race there to receive the next task - BBTV News.
"You are a pair of anchors," Big Brother explains. They are both given costumes and go into a mocked-up studio to read a news bulletin to the rest of the house, who watch via the plasma screen in the living room.
9.49
Carole and Charley are clad in shoulder padded suits, wigs and pearls, ready to read the news. Carole reads out news about David Beckham's first game played for LA Galaxy, and Chanelle is stunned to hear that the Spice Girls have reformed. She then reads out another news story which is in fact a message to Ziggy from his family, sending him love and support. He cries as he listens to the message delivered by Carole.
Charley starts to read a news story from South East London which soon transpires to be a message from her sister. She cries as she struggles to read out words of love and support from her family and friends.
The newscast ends. Amanda says she hopes she and Sam will get a message as they want to know if their grandmother is out of hospital. Ziggy goes off to the toilet and Chanelle follows him in there to give him a hug.
10.15
Ziggy and Chanelle are in the bathroom cuddling on the sofa. He says he feels that the tables have turned and that she is now looking after him. He is thinking about the message he received and hopes he hasn't let his family down. Chanelle reassures him that he hasn't done anything bad.
11.21
Chanelle and Brian are next to receive a task from BBTV, to present an ad for Slop. They practise together, Chanelle pretending to be Victoria Beckham and Brian adopting an American accent.
Ziggy is in the bathroom and cries. After he leaves, Gerry enters the bathroom and also has a private weep. Meanwhile, Charley is at the smoking area crying quietly.
12.33
A subdued Gerry is sitting out in the garden. Liam, Charley and Brian come out for a cigarette and ask him if he is ok. They say he will surely get a message from home as well. He says he may get one from his friends but not his family.
"You'd be surprised Gerry," says Charley but Gerry tells them. "My family are not into publicity and they want some things to be kept behind closed doors….the least they want is to see me on television bragging about my life and my sexuality. I won't expect anything from my family."
"I'm sure they care for you very much, mate," says Liam.
"They love me but they're p*ssed off and angry with me, all of them." Gerry explains. He adds that he has been thinking of going back to Greece and that Big Brother was going to be his big farewell to the UK. "I'm gonna leave with a bang." The others tell him Gerry that he should have no regrets and he agrees.
