Blackwell's corner put the their trust in the fact that Blackwell is known to 'come on strong' in the later stages of a fight and the fact that Eubank Jr was visibly tiring, but I believe that they were ALL also blinded by real hatred of Eubank and were so intent on wanting to humiliate him by defeating him that it clouded their judgement.
I agree with you Hog that neither Eubank Snr or Jr. bears any culpability here.
When Chris Snr tried to shout to Loughlin to stop the fight, Loughlin angrily screamed at him to get out of the ring.
Boxing - like horse racing - should be left alone.

I could not agree with you more Kirk. Eubank snr might well have saved Blackwells life and for the referee to warn him to stop away from banging on the canvas was pure arrogance.
Eubank jnr was landing uppercuts with no response or defence whatsoever in the 8th it was dangerous and obvious to everybody watching.
Blackwells corner were culpable as well. I was cringing watching his mates try and taunt the Eubank corner with the belt before the fight and they should have thrown the towel in when it was obvious he was getting hurt.
That referee should never be in charge of a fight again and Eubank snr should be credited for spotting the danger as quickly as he did.
