I will totally watch a 4 hour version. Entirely alone, of course, because my wife considers a 2 hour film "a bit on the long side" and anything over 2.5 a straight up "no".

Still... 4 hours I reckon confirms my theory; this needed a standalone Batman film BEFORE BvS, as a large part of the problem was them trying to set up the Affleck-Batman character alongside everything else. Cut into the running time massively.

They could also have introduced Wonder Woman in that. Not the superhero; just as Diana Prince (a variation of the party scene, etc.) and that would have given more time for her development, before the WW "reveal" at the start of the doomsday fight in BvS... the delay would have given that even more impact, and it's one of the best scenes in the film.
