Default So whilst we are busy privatizing our prisons...

Mississippi Jails Are Losing Inmates, And Local Officials Are ‘Devastated’ By The Loss Of Revenue. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/...b06f35cb6f14e8

America is famous for incarcerating prisoners for minor offences including none payment of fines, but since laws have been relaxed on the use of marijuana these prisons are seeing declining profits and they are starting to shout about it.

I read another article that states a lot of American prisons charge the criminal for their incarceration. I don't know about Mississippi, but Florida actually charges prisoners $50 per day.

Scary stuff, especially when you realize the British government are using Americas carbon copy for our future prison systems.
