Where to start. I did not find it as much as a chick flick as I thought it was going to be, sure it had the love story part, but it was more of a 80's film, which I like in films/music as I liuke the 80's, and wish I grew up during that time. With the characters, I liked Annies boss the most; she defines 80's, her style, her over the top hairstyle that changes every 20 mins of the filmsu. I like Annie as well, it was good to see her go from someone who was quite ashamed of herself about her lifestlye, to by the end not giving a ****. I also liked Blane, sure he was sometimes misguided, but I think his heart was in the right place, and I was definitely rooting for him and Annie to be together (not that I care about the love part)

I hated Duckie, sorry but I get he was in love with Annie, but the guy was clearly a psychopath, potential stalker/Serial Killer. He was just a twat. I was half expecting the film to turn into a slasher movie and Duckie ends up killing all of Blanes snobby friends (lets be honest they should have died anyway).

Overall I enjoyed it more then I thought I would. Its better then St Elmos, but I consider Breakfast Club and 16 Candles better films. Still I would rate it 4/5.

It will be interesting to see who everyone thinks Annie should have ended up with? Blane, Duckie, or should she had said **** off to both of them and stayed single, potentially her and her boss going all thelma and louise?
Spoiler:

interesting fact.... The original screen play had her going off with Duckie... They changed it when they filmed it.

And I think you are being rather hard on the Duckster... He was a teenager in love, sure with very little selfawareness, but how many teens do have it?? He was Andies lifelong friend, she didn't just suffer him, she did love having his friendship, just not an attraction

I mean I am team Duckie all the way... Especially since his hair at the grad was so on point, and Blain's looked like some weird helmet or something

I rewatched last night but didn't want to give my review until others had a chance... But a solid 8.5/10 for me.
