I don't know but Strand and also Madison and Alicia have sort of been keeping themselves to themselves so maybe haven't had as much / any of the same things? Or alternatively, we know that Cecilia is interested in keeping Nick around (as another of her "sons") and she also seemed interested in converting Daniel to her way of thinking, whereas she wasn't intersted in Madison or Alicia and actively wanted Strand to be gone ASAP, so it could have been selective.
With Travis and Chris, I get the feeling that they don't want to kill them off but are responding to the viewers' reaction to them (i.e. no one likes them!) so they've sent them away, perhaps to have them return at a later date as "changed characters"...
