I don't really see him as condescending. In contrast to most of the others he comes across to me as rational, reasonable and discerning. Having a journalists mind it is par for the course that he's going to comment on things in a more critical way than most. He's not rude, he's not loud, he's not attention seeking, he has a sense of humour and he doesn't run around shirtless or bare assed. And he can string whole sentences together.
I'm liking him a lot.
