I think a lot of her sudden popularity was based on the fact that many disliked Marco and she seemed the only one willing to 'go against' him so to speak. Marco will be forgotten completely before long, meanwhile she is still moaning and picking at everything the others (mainly Andy right now) do. She may lose popularity UNLESS she lightens up after the house merge, which I bloody hope she does as her one liners and such in the first couple of days were hilarious.
A lot of the time favorites are picked based on who people dislike the most (anti-Aarons suddenly loving Jay, anti-Dexter suddenly supporting Sam...etc etc), its a trend I have noticed year after year. It MAY not be the case here, but I do suspect it is.
