I had one of those eggs years ago in China and they smell disgusting but once you start to eat them, the smell goes away and they just taste dry and fusty. Its like eating a week old dish cloth that smells of mould. Their smell is the most disgusting thing about them, but the taste isn't that bad really, no more disgusting than a strong smelly cheese.
