It really doesn't matter who's in the right and who's the wrong. BB didn't "take side", that's not why they call hm to the DR. Hughie went from 0 to 100 in a second and it's not the first time it happens. He has some serious anger management issues.
Even if Alex was purely teasing him, he wasn't shouting and standing on the bed like maniac.
Hughie could disagree with him and call him names and whatever, fair enough - but he clearly doesn't know how to do it in a reasonable way.

You are missing the point that everything you just described happening happened AFTER bb had singled out Hughie by only calling him to the diary room.
Thats when he became angry due to being frustrated.
