Yes the context would change and social media has nothing to do with that. Theres nothing sinister about one gay drunk man making another gay drunk man laugh. Hypothetically changing the genders is just dumb.
Being offended isn't about changing a few things that happened until its offensive, its the perception of the victim, more so than the viewers. If Hughie looked offended, nobody would be supporting Ryan. If Ryan was straight, did it to the girl who also laughed hysterically, nobody would be offended.
