Comes to something when a programme on ITV2 is beating one of the "Big 5" TV channels.
This is the power of a strong promotional campaign right here. I and several others were being laughed at at the start of the series for suggesting BB's promotion was ****e and that ITV2 knew what they were doing and that'd it make a difference and now look where we are, Love Island has gained a million viewers in a year and deserves everyone of them for producing a great series that in many ways is more Big Brother than actual Big Brother is. The snobbiness is so misplaced

Put the promo in and people will give it a go, that's the first step. Produce a good first episode and they'll stick around, that's the second. Big Brother did the latter but not the former whereas Love Island did both and have reaped the rewards. This series is posting consistent numbers, imagine what they might be if the initial launch figure had been a bit higher?
