He'll get a mixed reception still, I think - there'll be heavy boos and that's completely fair because the public's favourite to win has just been backstabbed by him. If you want to laud him as a master gameplayer you have to take into account the inevitability that he's going to piss people off and get a lot of haters.
As for toying with the housemates' heads, I think we've done enough of that already. I don't think him getting cheers would change anything in the house, and if there is an eviction next week with nominations he'll be up regardless.
Personally, I enjoyed how much of a shock his decision was but am now bitter that the path is clear for a predictable or awful winner (Jackson or Andy).
