Default Paralympian set to enter?

Budding Paralympic athlete Lyndon Longhorne is reportedly set to take part in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother this summer.

According to The Daily Star, the 20-year-old was due to enter the show’s house for the current ‘civilian’ series, but bosses later chose to hold him back for CBB, which returns in late August.

A source told the newspaper: “Lyndon would be great on Celebrity Big Brother. He is an inspiration and an all round Mr Nice Guy. Viewers would love him.”

Lyndon had both of his limbs, his right arm and the fingers on his left hand amputated after tragically being struck with meningitis as a baby. He now uses a wheelchair and prosthetic limbs, and once reportedly received a £25,000 donation from Dragon’s Den and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Duncan Bannatyne so he could buy a bionic arm.

Lyndon’s ambition is to represent his country at swimming in the Paralympic Games. According to the Evening Chronicle, he recently missed out on the selection for the next games in Rio – leaving him conveniently available for CBB in August – but he’s now aiming to make the Tokyo games in 2022.

Other names rumoured to be entering the CBB house include Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, singer Tulisa and Gogglebox favourites Chris Steed and Stephen Webb.
