I prefer it this way. Because you're voting for the person you most strongly support, not the person you hate. This means that, in the last week it's more likely for the boring nobodies (ie Shell and Stu) to go early.

If you think about it, the standard practice for voting is rubbish as it favours the fence-sitters. If you seperate housemates into 3 groups. The Luvems, Fencesitters and Hatems. Nobody votes for the Luvems if they're up for eviction as they want them to win. Everyone votes for the Hatems if they're up because they want them out. Fencesitters get an easy ride because nobody cares strongly enough about them to vote for them. The only time a Fencesitter is in trouble is if they're in one-on-one with a Luvem.

If I was running BB, I'd be tempted to have them all up for eviction every week and have people voting who they want to win each week. That way the people who provoked the strongest reaction in the public will stay in, and the boring ones will go in the order they should.

The only problem with that is, it takes the fun away from making the HMs nominate each other.
