Exactly, Ammi. And, despite some viewers finding this amusing, I'm not finding any humour in someone who is just cruelly provoking and goading others and then mocking them when they respond. I like wind-ups and wind-up merchants but, to me, wind-ups and banter are harmless and funny- what Bear is doing is not funny but just unpleasant, and at times uncomfortable, to watch. Imo he just isn't a very nice person, and his sense of humour is warped.

I don't know anything about Bear outside of BB, but he comes across to me as if he has a massive chip on his shoulder so is hitting out at the world as a result, rather than addressing whatever issues he has.
