WILL YOUNG is at war with his manager SIMON FULLER after a series of bitter rows about money.

The singer has told family and friends he feels he is hugely underpaid by his boss — the brains behind telly’s Pop Idol.

Will may smile on stage but behind the scenes he has grown more and more miserable.

Things are so bad he has secretly consulted lawyers to find out how he can get more money from multi-millionaire pop svengali Fuller.

A close friend told me: “Will had to sign a contract when he won Pop Idol which gave Fuller a large percentage of what he earned. He had no choice but to sign, it was a condition of taking part in the show.

"But no one could have dreamed he would do so well. Now Will feels he has been given a fraction of the cash he’s raked in for Fuller.”

Since winning the TV talent search in February 2002 Will has notched up four No1s in seven Top Five hits — making a small fortune for Fuller’s company 19 Management along the way.

And it’s not as if Fuller is strapped for cash — he is worth a mighty £220million.
